Fever -Peggy Lee-

Peggy Lee, fue una cantante de Jazz estadounidense que también hizo sus pinitos como compositora y actriz con bastante éxito, ya que fue nominada en el año 1955 al Oscar por su papel en "The Singer Jazz".

Como compositora Peggy Lee, destaco por las canciones de la película "La Dama y el Vagabundo",  y canciones como "I Don't Know Enough About You",  "I'm Gonna Go Fishin'", "The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter", "Fever", "The Shining Sea",  "There Will Be Another Spring", "Johnny Guitar", "Sans Souci", ""What's New?", "Things Are Swinging", "Don't Smoke in Bed","So What's New" entre otros.

Fever, es una canción escrita por  Eddie Cooley y Otis Blackwell , quien utilizó el seudónimo de John Davenport ya que en ese momento estaba contratado por Joe Davis. 
La canción fue grabada por Little Willie John en el año 1956, aunque no le gustaba la canción. Llegando a ser un éxito de ventas.
En 1958 Peggy Lee, graba la canción "Fever" pero agrega varias estrofas:  "Romeo loved Juliette ..." y  "Cap'in Smith and Pocahontas  ...." compuesta por ella misma.  Fue nominada a los premios Grammy del año 1959 por el Disco del año.

"Fever" se convirtió en su canción firma, es decir, la canción con la posteriormente fue reconocida a nivel mundial.

"Fever" ha sido interpretada por numerosos cantantes y grupos entre los que destacan: Elvis Presley, Maddona, Ray Charles,  The Mc Coys y un largo etc.
